Accessibility
At Animal Support, we are trying to create an accessible website. We are following WCAG 2.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) where possible but we need
further guidance when we get things wrong or where there are places we can improve.
Text size
Colour
Also, we allow three colour designs for the site;
the original colour
white text on a dark background
black text on a light background

Access Keys
We are updating all our input forms (eg. the login form, the photo upload form, etc) with access keys. When you look at some forms, a letter maybe underlined. In this case, holding the ALT key and press the underlined letter (in Internet Explorer) will focus the cursor in the correct place.
For example, the login box has the lowercase L underlined and the lowercase P underlined. If you press ALT+p or ALT+l, the correct places in the form will be selected.
Also, using the UK Government standard for access keys, we have implemented some easy navigation keys.
To use the access keys on the site follow these steps
1. Press and hold the 'alt' key
2. Press the required letter
3. Press the return key and the browser will load the relevant page.
S - Skip navigation
1 - Home page
2 - What's new
3 - Site map
4 - Search
8 - Terms and conditions
0 - Access key details
(access keys may not work in all browsers)
