Walking weekend at Chester Zoo
20 March 2010 to 21 March 2010 at Chester Zoo
A weekend of walking fun and activities measuring how far you can walk around the Zoo and how this compares with our animals and contributes to a healthly lifestyle
Visitors to the Zoo who book online for this event will receive a pedometer to measure how far you have walked during the day. There will be trail sheets around different areas of interest in the Zoo which will include distances and how they relate to interesting facts and the human side of some of Chester Zoo's projects, such as our Green Travel Plan and, for example, how far a child in Africa has to walk to school or to get fresh water each day. There will also be fun facts about how far animals can walk in a day.
