Some breaking news!
Ark on the Edge
Ark on the Edge recently approached 3 people to see if they would consider being Patrons for us and I am very pleased to say that in all 3 cases they accepted.
So our new Patrons are:
Philippa Tomson who conducts the weather forecast for Tyne Tees TV. Philippa came to visit us on Tuesday 9th February to have a look round meet some people and have a chat. Philippa was very taken with Ark on the Edge and graciously accepted our invitation of being a Patron. Philippa is hoping to do whatever she can for us and attend some of our functions, if she is free.
So thank you so much Philippa for this, Ark on the Edge looks forward to a long and happy partnership with you.
The other two gentlemen have had considerable attachment with us already and both are now retired so we thought it a nice gesture to ask if they would consider being Patrons for us. (In alphabetical order gents!)
Meet Philippa when she judges the Easter Bonnet competition on Friday 2nd April at Ark on the Edge, starts at 11 am. Look under Latest Events for further information.
Dave Davies who is a retired police dog handler, Dave has done police dog displays in the past for our events and also for the boys on our course. He has his own dog consultancy business called happy dogs.
Neville Turner who is a retired vet and lives very locally to us. Neville again has had considerable contact with us, he kindly offered to officially open our centre back in 2007 and since then has had regular contact especially with wild birds coming in and being released.
Ark on the Edge thanks all of you for your committment to us.
