Giraffes to move home Colchester Zoo

imageKoife and Century our two male giraffes will be transferring out of the collection to a new home at Cotswold Wildlife Park.

The two males are transferring from the collection as they are not pure bred reticulated giraffes and sadly we cannot breed from them with our two reticulated females.

A new reticulated male is set to join our females, Lili and Isha from Nurnberg in Germany, and together they will form a breeding group although as they are young giraffes they won't be able to breed until older.

Please note that the public giraffe feeds will not take place on Wednesday the 2nd June in order to allow the Keepers time to settle the new giraffe into his new home.
